What an Incredible day and heartwarming experience! It was an absolute privilege to be able to tour Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital as well as the Research and Education Building. The work these medical professionals do on a daily basis is simply outstanding. I truly enjoyed seeing the incredible innovations that are being made in childhood diseases up close. I have never felt more inspired. Being a total nerd, getting to hear the backstory of how the hospital came to be the powerhouse that is it was just the icing on the cake. Through this tour I was able to see the behind the scenes of the emergency and trauma rooms, infusion center, and the groundbreaking simulation laboratory. I strongly believe the simulation lab is what the future of medicine looks like, and I could not be more excited to begin my journey in the medical field. This day would not have been possible without the amazing nonprofit Sharing Hope for a Cure. They have done so much for cancer research in hopes to find the cure. This year Sharing Hope for a Cure has raised $25,000 and funded over 25 stuffed animals to give to patients affected. As an ambassador for Children's Miracle Network, my heart is so blessed to see all that is possible because of them. These kids are truly unstoppable.
